JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Intracoastal Waterway channel at Beach Boulevard will be closed to marine traffic during the day for three weeks.
The channel will be closed weekdays from April 23rd to May 14th. The hours of the closure will be 7 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
During this time, crews will be dismantling the old B.B. McCormick Bridge drawbridge.
The 58-year-old drawbridge is being replaced by two new, high-elevation spans. The northernmost span is already open to traffic.
