JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Faith, hope and love were the forces that helped the Goodall family see their new home remodeled in just ten days.
"It's amazing to see how everybody can pull together and make something so incredible happen," says the mother, Karen Goodall.
Now those same traits are helping this close family get through the latest news. Just last week, 14-year old Kolin Goodall was diagnosed with leukemia.
"The initial shock of it for me was hard, but that didn't last for maybe two minutes because Kolin just had this peace that came over him. He was listening to what the doctors where saying and started asking questions," says Goodall.
Since the family's first battle with the father Kenny Goodall having A.L.S, Builders Care has been there to help generate support. They are ready to do the same thing again.
"There dealing with so much with Kenny Goodall who has A.L.S and now Kolin who is fighting leukemia financial needs would be the most important thing the community needs to know about. There is a fund to help them with that," says Chris Simons with Builder's Care.
The Goodalls say despite the rocky road their overall faith is not shaken and it shows no signs of wavering.
"I told them in church this morning, that sometimes I feel guilty because other people are taking this a lot worse than I am," says Goodall. "I know my God is in control and I dont have anything to worry about,".
A fund has been set up to help the family with any hardships. If you would like to contribute please make checks payable to The Goodall Fund and send them to Mill Creek Baptist Church. 6019 A State Rd. 16. Saint Augustine, Fl. 32092.
Kolin has undergone one round of chemotherapy. Doctors are hopeful he will be able to go home sometime this week.
