BOCA RATON, FL -- Friends and family attended a funeral today for a Florida teen who died from complications from a breast augmentation.
It is still unclear what exactly caused 18-year-old Stephanie Kuleba's death. But a local station is reporting investigators are looking into whether a rare genetic condition may have contributed.
Kuleba's attorney told the station the teen had never been under general anesthesia before and may have died from a genetic disorder triggered by certain anesthetics.
The attorney said Kuleba had the surgery to fix a birth defect of asymmetrical breasts. Autopsy results are expected to show the exact cause of death.
