WILMINGTON, IL -- Flooding has forced at least two dozen families from their homes in Wilmington, Illinois.
Some people got stuck trying to cross the road and had to be rescued by boat.
They could have gotten swept down stream. It could have been pretty bad shape for them.
Officials say ice jams along the Kankakee river are causing the flooding.
Right now they don't know when the water will recede or when evacuated families will be able to return home.
