ST. AUGUSTINE, FL -- The athletic director at Bartram Trail High was arrested early Saturday morning following an accident involving alcohol according to police.
Barry Craig was charged with driving under the influence, driving while intoxicated with property damage and leaving the scene of a traffic crash with property damage.
The police report says he was also issued four citations.
The 55 year-old athletic director according to the St. Johns Sheriffs Office hit a gate and a home off A1A north of Saint Augustine early Saturday morning. Craig was not at school Monday according a receptionist who answered the phone in the athletic department.
A spokesperson for St. Johns County schools told First Coast News the district was investigating what information it could disclose about the incident and what will happen to Craig.
