JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Both parents of a nine-year-old boy, reportedly held hostage in his home, are behind bars, charged with child abuse.

Police arrested Michelle Piercy Friday afternoon.

She is accused of aggravated child abuse, and is being held on a $1 million bond.

Authorities arrested Randall Piercy Wednesday night on the same charges.

First Coast News has exclusive video of Mrs. Piercy being taken into custody at her home, the same home where investigators believe she, and her husband, imprisoned their son.

Lt. Annie Smith, with the JSO Sex Crimes & Child Abuse Unit, says Mrs. Piercy admitted to locking her son in his bedroom every night and making him urinate in a plastic 2-liter bottle.

"She acknowledged her son has never been to school, and that they devote only one hour per week in his schooling," said Lt. Smith.

Now, after being interviewed in protective custody, the nine-year-old boy is revealing new details.

"He has never been to the dentist, he has no friends, he is not allowed to leave his room without permission, his only free time is to make his meals and take his bathroom break," said Lt. Smith.

The boy told police he has never gone to school, and he eats only breakfast and dinner, which he prepares himself. The boy claims he can't leave his bedroom without permission.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the windows on the boy's room were covered with tape, and there were no pictures on the wall, no stuffed animals, no toys, no books of any kind to play with. The boy is now in foster care.
