JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A community in East Arlington says they are having trouble getting an alligator removed from their neighborhood. Dillard and Jill Luster live in the Waterleaf community. They say a 3 to 4 foot gator is living in a lake behind their home. When they called police about the alligator they were directed to Animal Control. Animal Control then directed the couple to the State Nuisance Gator Hotline. They say the woman who answered the hotline told them she couldn't help. The Lusters say they told the woman there are kids who play by the lake quite often. The woman then told them she would discuss it with the biologist and get back to them. The Lusters say no one has called them back.
