The FAMU Marching 100 was a crowd-pleaser at Tallahassee's Veterans Day Parade.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Tallahassee paused to honor veterans for their service with a parade through downtown and past the state Capitol.
The high-energy FAMU Marching 100 got the parade off to a rousing start as the band strutted down the city's main drag. Band members showed off some impressive dance moves during their routine and the crowd loved it.

Hundreds of people lined the downtown streets and some folks couldn't help but dance along to the music. The children got caught up in the upbeat mood as well and enthusiastically waved little flags as the parade streamed by.
"Gold Star Families" had a special place in the parade with special recognitions for their loved ones who died in service to the country.

Tom Brunelle said he turned out to support veterans because he was grateful for everything they've done to support all of us.
"I love Veterans Day. Love all the military branches of the service and they're always there for us. We need to be there for them."
The Tallahassee Veterans Day Parade was festive. It included appearances from a giant, stilt-walking man and there was even an appearance from Capt. America.
The parade is on the rebound after going through a period of low attendance and lackluster participation in recent years. Last year it found new life when a new organization took over the event.
Now the group, called Veterans Events in Tallahassee, aims to make the parade the best one in the country.
