Vets look for jobs at THE PLAYERS military job fair

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- THE PLAYERS gets underway Monday with practice rounds, but Saturday veterans were invited to the course for a Military Job Fair.

Will Harrelson spent 12 years in the Marine Corps, got out two weeks ago and moved back home to Jacksonville. He's looking for a job.

"I know I have an uphill battle being away for so long, being unfamiliar with the area , but getting back seeing the growth, you have to stay positive as much as possible," Harrelson said.

More than 40 companies were on hand at this job fair put on by the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition and hosted by THE PLAYERS at the "Birdies for the Brave Patriots" outpost.

Dave Edwards with Logistics services international was one of those companies on hand. Among the things they do, train the Taiwanese Air Force on how to fly P-3 aircraft.

"we develop training for the military, we hire veterans that are subject matter experts in particular fields where we are developing training, we use their knowledge in the training development process. We are looking for people, we have a number of openings right now. "

Retired Brigadier General Mike Fleming, now with Deutsche Bank, says as many as 50 veterans could get jobs as a result of this job fair.
