Union County investigator arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Union County Sheriff's investigator was arrested last weekend following an altercation with his colleagues at the scene of an investigation.

Union County Sheriff's Office Investigator Jerry Feltner was charged with resisting arrest without violence, according to Lt. Lynn Williams with UCSO.

Williams told First Coast News the BCSO responded to a call that did not involve Feltner in the early morning hours of either Saturday April 5 or Sunday April 6.

Feltner met the officers at the scene and they got into a verbal altercation.

Williams said that Feltner may have been trying to mediate the incident.

The case is under internal investigation and Feltner has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is complete, Williams said.
