Teen struck by gunfire Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A teen was struck by gunfire on the Northside Sunday Sunday morning.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lt. Ashish Sircar said shots were fired around 7:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of Moncrief Road near Myrtle Avenue.

Witnesses on the scene said they saw a white Chevrolet Impala that may have been involved. JSO is now searching for that vehicle.

The victim was taken UF Health Jacksonville and their condition is unknown, according to Sircar.
