PALATKA, Fla. -- One woman is in serious condition and another has minor injuries after an early Friday morning crash on State Road 20 west of Motes Road.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Tiffany L. Alford was driving a 1998 Chevy Lumina east on State Road 20 and an 82-year-old Mary F. Barbree was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla west.
Alford lost control of the vehicle, spun across the median, colliding with Barbree's Toyota, the report detailed. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Both were initially transported to Putnam Hospital for their injuries, but Barbree was later transported to UF Shands.
Charges are pending, according to the report.
