SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. -- Four people have been arrested in connection with the burglary of the Broward County home of a former Miami Dolphins player.
A sheriff's office statement says deputies were called to a residential alarm late Saturday night at the house of former wide receiver James McKnight. A deputy noticed a car that matched the description of one that had been linked to a previous burglary in Southwest Ranches near Fort Lauderdale.
Two people inside the car couldn't explain why they were there and eventually said they were acting as lookouts for two accomplices who were in the process of breaking into the house. No one was home at the time.
The four charged with armed burglary and resisting arrest without violence are 19-year-old Michael Campblin, 20-year-old Christopher Diaz and two juveniles.
