Veteran NBA player Lamar Odom was arrested by the California Highway Patrol early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, according to the incident report.
The California Highway Patrol noticed Odom's white Mercedes SUV "driving in a serpentine manner at 50 mph" on the 101 Freeway around 3:25 a.m. Pacific.
The report said Odom showed "objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated."
Odom refused chemical tests and was booked to the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Jail at 5:01 a.m., according to the report.
Odom's arrest comes after recent speculation about his whereabouts and well-being.
Odom, a free agent, has spent most of his NBA career in Los Angeles with the Clippers, his first and last NBA team, and the Lakers, where he won two championships in 2009 and 2010. He had an unproductive season with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011-12 and averaged four points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 19.7 minutes per game for the Clippers last season.
He wanted to play this season, and the Clippers had some interest in bringing him back. But the Clippers signed veteran forward Antawn Jamison on Wednesday.
