JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- A woman caught on camera stealing a Tea-cup Chihuahua from a Jacksonville Beach business was arrested Monday.
Thursday around 5:48 p.m. the Jacksonville Beach Police Department responded to Pampered Paws on 831 3rd Street North after the owner said a puppy was stolen from her business.
The owner said she reviewed surveillance tape after noticing one of her two-month old, six ounce Tea-cup Chihuahuas was missing from its display.
According to police, the video showed a woman picking up the puppy and placing it in her purse then leaving the store.
Contact was made with the suspect Evelyn Jean Estes, 39, and she was interviewed, arrested and transported to DCJ.
The puppy was recovered and returned to the victim.
