COAST Fla. - Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board plan to have
all of the plane wreckage and perishable evidence removed from the house on Utica Path in Palm Coast
by the end of Saturday.
The
Florida High Patrol released the names of three people who died Saturday
afternoon.
Those
listed among the deceased were the pilot, Michael R. Anders, 57, of Albany,
Kentucky and the passengers, Duane L. Shaw, 59, also from Albany, and Charissee
M. Peoples, 42, of Indianapolis, Indiana .
Anders declared an emergency around 2:10
p.m. Friday, according to a news release from Debra Johnson, Public
Information Officer with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
Johnson said the pilot reported the plane was severely shaking.
According to Jim Peters with the FAA, the plane was heading to
Knoxville, TN, but he could not give any further information about who was
flying the plane before having trouble and trying to land at Flagler County
Airport.
The plane crashed into a home on Utica Path around 2:22 p.m.
Friday, Johnson said. Before crashing into the roof of the home, FHP said the plane
made a "steep descent." A fire then broke out and only portions of
the wing remain.
