LAKE CITY, Fla. -- The Lake City Police Department will hold a Halloween Safety Bash October 31.
The event will be hosted by both the Lake City Police and Fire Departments and will last from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Halloween night.
The Halloween Safety Bash will take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Public Safety Building at the corner of N.W. Main Boulevard and N.W. Madison Avenue, across from the U.S. Post Office.
Craig Strickland, Assistant Public Information Officer for the Lake City Police Department, said the night will feature food, fun, games and of course candy. There will also be bounce houses and other fun activities for children.
Strickland said "safety" gift bags, drinks, hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn and sno-cones will be provided, while supplies last.
Admission to the event is free.
Lake City Police Chief Argatha Gilmore said, "Come join us next Wednesday night. It will not only be a fun evening for your children, but a safe one, to enjoy the festivities of Halloween. We also want to thank TD Bank, Sonny's and Cinema 90 for their generous support and contributions towards this year's event."
