DAWSONVILLE, Ga. -- The manager of a resort in the north Georgia mountains says he's trying to keep thousands of young people from showing up for a rave party, vowing that his property "will not become a mini-Woodstock."

Edwin Alexander says he's trying to get the word out that what has been billed as "the biggest Rave/house party of the year" won't take place at the Jackson Lake House Estate in Dawson County.

Alexander tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was led to believe there would be a gathering of no more than 12 people when a man signed a lease to rent the property for late October. Alexander said he later discovered promotions for the rave on a Facebook page, where 2,800 people said they planned to attend.
