Taryn Manning showed up in court today after getting into a brawl
with a woman in her room at the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York
Thursday.
The actress, 33, who played Eminem's ex-girlfriend in 8 Mile, was ordered to say away from Holliann Hartman, 23, the Daily News reports.
According
to the criminal complaint released at her arraignment today, the News
says, Manning punched, scratched and kicked Hartman, choked her; and
slammed her head against the floor and wall. Manning said nothing as she
left the courthouse.
The catfight was triggered after the two
had spent a grueling day traveling to release Manning's new music video,
claimed her attorney, Joseph Tacopina.
"They had a late-night argument that turned into a bit of a physical altercation."
He described the whole thing as an isolated incident. Manning was charged with misdemeanor assault and choking.
Manhattan
Supreme Court Judge Alexander Tish released the Manning without bail
and ordered her to stay away from Hartman until the next court date,
scheduled for Nov. 13.
