Here are three undeniable facts about Chad Johnson: He's currently
unemployed, he recently was arrested for domestic battery, and he
recently divorced Ms. Evelyn Lozada.
Which is to say Johnson
hasn't been making money since being cut by the Miami Dolphins last
month, and he presumably spent a grip on lawyer fees to a) cut a plea
deal for allegedly striking Lozada and b) finalize his divorce from the
"Basketball Wives" star.
Think Johnson might consider penny pinching after that? No way. Not his style.
The receiver formerly known as "Ochocinco" posted pictures on his Instagram of a sleek Lamborghini Aventador with the captions "Just grab the new Lamborghini Aventador," and "Loving my new toy." The cost of this gorgeous sports car? A cool $376,000.
Take that, suffering economy!
While it seems unwise to spend that kind of money on a car, really, who
are we to judge? Plus, unless he went all Vince Young, you've got to
figure Johnson has some cash saved. After all, he did once sign a $35.5
million contract with the Bengals in 2006. And remember back then when
the NFL just started cracking down on touchdown celebrations? Johnson
didn't mind paying whatever fine the league hit him with, so it should
come as no surprise Johnson would go big with this vehicle purchase.
