NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks edged higher in Wednesday trading.
Investors were happy to see that Germany's highest court cleared the way for that country to participate in a European rescue fund. Attentions now shift to the Federal Reserve, which wraps up its two-day meeting today.
The Dow gained 10 points to 13,333, a four-year closing high. The Standard & Poor's 500 index added 3 points to 1,436.56, also close to a four-year high.
The Nasdaq composite index climbed 10 points to 3,114, helped by rising Apple shares. Apple unveiled the iPhone 5.
