JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A thief broke into the St. Johns Episcopal Church downtown and stole the church's violin.
Police say sometime Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning an unknown suspect cut the burglar fence around the church, broke a window and entered the church.
Tim Engelmann reported the crime and told police the only thing he noticed missing was a brown violin, valued at $300.
A window shield valued at $150 was broken. Evidence technicians processed the scene but police have no suspects.
