FOLKSTON, Ga. -- A little boy is being hailed a hero after his quick thinking during his grandmother's medical emergency.
A few days ago, Jacqueline Winn ran out of medication for her epilepsy, and while her husband was out, had a seizure.
"If it's constantly going on and on and on, I could lose my life," Winn said.
In those crucial moments, the only person with her, was 4-year-old Marquvios.
"My grandma had a seizure and then she got in her bed and then she laid down and she had to wake up," Marquvios said.
He found his grandmother unresponsive and within seconds, called for help, using the speed dial numbers his grandparents had taught him.
"I called my Gigi and my Gigi called my Daddy," Marquvios said.
Winn's mother got a hold of Winn's husband, Eddie Lee, who rushed home.
"Last time she had those, the doctor told her she was blessed to be here," Eddie Lee Winn said. "She could have died because your heart rate go up real high when you have those seizures and that could cause you to have a heart attack or a stroke or something like that."
Winn's husband arrived in time to help, but found she already had some company.
"He put a little teddy bear up under my arm," Winn said. "I just told him he is my hero."
