Alfred Bernard Mears is charged with accessory after the fact in Kalil McCoy's death
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the second time today, someone has been arrested in connection with the death of Kalil McCoy.
At about 10 this morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Alfred Bernard Mears was arrested on a charge of accessory after the fact.
This morning, 20-year-old Jonathan Marichal Brooks was arrested a day after police announced he was wanted on the same charge.
Kalil McCoy, 19, was killed in late June.
Police believe she was in a vehicle with several people in the Talleyrand area when a gun went off. McCoy was struck in the head and killed.
Her body was dumped near a daycare center where her family members work.
Fredrick Lee Wade, also 19, was arrested on a manslaughter charge, since police believe he had the gun when McCoy was shot.
