JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man wanted for shooting his parents and killing his brother and another man is the same man who robbed a convenience store Tuesday night.
Wednesday evening, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released photos of the man they said is Christopher Scott Kilgore, who is wanted for shooting his parents, injuring them and shooting two others to death.
Clay County deputies have been looking for Kilgore since the slayings at a Wooduck Road residence in Middleburg Monday morning. On Tuesday, they said a suspect matching Kilgore's description and driving a vehicle similar to his held up the Kangaroo Store at 14801 Normandy Blvd. at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.
There was a clerk and a customer inside the convenience store at the time of the robbery. "I rushed over here as soon as I got off to see if she was alright," said James Figeeroa, the clerk's son.
Figeeroa said he received a call from his mother after the robbery detailing what happened.
"My mother was really shaken up about it," he said.
On Monday morning, investigators alleged that Kilgore shot and killed his brother, Raymond, and another man, James Coody. Kilgore's parents were also shot, and at last check, were still recovering in the hospital.
After the shooting, detectives indicated that Kilgore drove away in his parents' SUV, a blue 2005 Chevrolet Blazer.
Witnesses told police they'd seen Kilgore drive towards Jennings State Forest. Clay County deputies asked people to avoid the forest until Kilgore is found.
