GLYNN COUNTY, GA -- The medical examiner's ruling after a 17-month-old girl died led to murder charges against a man who lived with her.
Thursday night around 7, Glynn County Police got a call about a girl who wasn't breathing.
When they got to the house on Lantana Ct., they found 17-month-old Brianna Hester barely alive.
She was rushed to Southeast Georgia Medical Center, then airlifted to Savannah Memorial Hospital.
Despite all the life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead a few hours later.
An autopsy determined she died because of trauma to the head.
Monday, police arrested 32-year-old Daryl Keon Jones, who is Brianna's mother's boyfriend. All three lived together on Lantana Court.
Jones faces charges of murder and cruelty to children.
