Police: Man stealing mail from boxes in Flagler Beach

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- Flagler County Sheriff's detectives are searching for a man who has allegedly been taking mail from mailboxes in Flager Beach and using the stolen information to open credit cars under the victim's names.

The alleged thefts are taking place on John Anderson Drive in Flagler Beach.

The unidentified male has been spotted on video surveillance removing mail from mailboxes from the 4000 block to the 6000 block on John Anderson Drive, according to FCSO.

The investigation revealed that once the suspect removes the mail from the mailbox, he submits a change of address form and has the victim's mail forwarded to a vacant residence. He then collects the mail and uses the information to open bank accounts and credit cards.
