Police find drugs, guns at shooting scene

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An unidentified man was shot twice on the northwest side of Jacksonville Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the 4800 block of Amos Street and found a man who had been shot in the back and side, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Police followed a blood trail searching for any additional victims and instead found guns and drugs in plain view inside a home. No additional victims were found.

There are no witnesses or suspects at this point in the investigation.

The victim was transported to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life threatening injuries.
