JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Family and friends of a man gunned down outside a popular bar last month will hold a peaceful assembly outside the State Attorney's Office in downtown Jacksonville Wednesday afternoon.
It's been nearly one-month since 40-year-old Zachariah James Tipton was shot and killed during a fight at Nippers Beach Grill in Jacksonville Beach.
Police say it started with a fight between members of two motorcycle clubs. They say Tipton got into a dispute with another man when he was killed.
Family members say they want to know why no one has been arrested and charged in connection with Tipton's death.
Earlier this month, the case was handed over to the State Attorney's Office to review and decide if charges will be filed.
The shooter's name hasn't been released yet.
The peaceful assembly is scheduled from 2 and 6 p.m. on East Bay Street in front of the State Attorney's Office. Officers with JSO Special Events and Zoning will be present to direct traffic, according to organizers.
