JACKSONVILLE, FL -- For so many women over age 50, menopause means a drop in desire to have sex.
Dr. Andrew Kaunitz, a Jacksonville Gynecologist with the University of Florida, is working with dozens of doctors nationwide on a patch that would replace the testosterone a woman loses during menopause.
It's that testosterone that helps create sexual desire, he tells us.
Before it approves Intrinsa -- the patch developed by Proctor & Gamble -- the Food & Drug Administration wants to see more safety tests.
It was no problem for Dr. Kaunitz and the other doctors to recruit more than 2000 women for the study.
In my special report, see how the patch would work and hear one woman describe her frustrating experience with menopause.
Then join the discussion about the patch, which some call "Viagra for women."
