NEW ORLEANS, LA -- The Saints racked up 538 yards of total offense against the Jaguars defense including 435 yards through the air as New Orleans wins 41-24.
The 41 points is the most the Jaguars have allowed since a Monday Night game at Indianapolis in 2000.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 35 of 49 passes for 435 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Second year wide receiver Marques Colston had 10 receptions for 159 yards.
Jaguars quarterback Quinn Gray passed for 354 yards, but he was intercepted 3 times including one which Mike McKenzie returned 75 yards for a score. That played seemed to seal the deal for the Saints who took a 31-17 lead at that point in the 3rd quarter.
Gray sprained an ankle in the first half but never missed a play.
Fred Taylor rushed for 54 yards on 13 carries which means that he is still 13 yards away from 10,000 rushing yards for his career.
Maurice Jones-Drew had a quiet day on offense but returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Reggie Williams had a career best in receiving yards with 128 on 6 catches. 80 of those yards came on a touchdown reception in the first quarter which was the second longest reception in Jaguars history.
With today's loss, the Jaguars are now 5-3 on the season. They travel to Tennessee next Sunday then return home in two weeks to face San Diego.
