ATLANTIC BEACH, FL -- Two students from Mayport Elementary were suspended from school for constant dress code violations that involved them wearing shirts with the acronym "T.H.U.G."

Ski Jackson has a clothing line called "Co T.H.U.G" that his children wear. This week, his two children were told they could return to school this Monday.

Jackson says, "As long as they cannot continue to see Co T.H.U.G.(Carriers Of The Hottest Urban Gear) on it plain as day, then I guess it's appropriate."

David Sundstrom is the Chief of Staff for the school system and says schools have to draw the line when it comes to dress.

Sundstrom says, "We try to apply basic common sense test, which this article of clothing is somehow disruptive or possibly disrespectful."

Jackson is gathering signatures on a petition supporting his clothing being allowed in Mayport Elementary.

The father says he is willing to compromise since he wants his kids back in school on Monday.
