Attempted Robbery Lands Two In Hospital

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Two men were taken to Shands Jacksonville after getting shot in an attempted robbery. They both have non-life threatening injuries.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Officers tell First Coast News the shooting happened at 13th Street Lottery Store on Canal Street and West 13th.

They say two men walked into the store Friday shortly after 10 p.m., and tried to rob it. The suspects exchanged gunfire with the victims, and then took off on foot.

The store's owner and another man were taken to the hospital.
