FLAGLER COUNTY, FL -- An autopsy of the badly decomposed body found Tuesday afternoon in a car in Palm Coast has been completed and the medical examiner has ruled the death was the result of natural causes.
No positive identification has been made. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is seeking to identify the remains through dental and vision records in Oklahoma. The medical examiner has determined the remains are those of a woman in her late 50s to early 60s. The exact cause of death has not been determined and toxicology tests are continuing.
The Sheriff's Office has identified a female in her mid-30s as a person of interest in connection with the body that was discovered inside the parked car on the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot on Palm Coast Parkway. The woman, who is not being identified, has been hospitalized under the Baker Act.
The white Buick where the body was found was registered to Alicia and Melba Doschier of Oklahoma.
The Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
A second update may be issued later this afternoon.
