JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some First Coast youngsters learned quite a lesson today in helping the less fortunate.
Four- and 5-year-olds from local Jacksonville Primrose schools took a field trip to Publix Thursday afternoon to buy food for Second Harvest North Florida.
Children from all 200-plus schools, including three in Jacksonville, have spent the past month earning money doing chores to buy non-perishable items for charity.
They gathered their money and created a shopping list and headed out to shop!
