JACKSONVILLE, Fla-- The Stadium Course at the TPC gets a lot of golfers along it's manicured fairways and greens, but for the first time ever, 1000 runners and walkers will race across the back nine later this month.
THE PLAYERS 5K with Donna is an event to raise funds to finish breast cancer! This inaugural event welcomes runners and walkers of all levels to experience a behind-the-scenes 5K route through the beautiful PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Participants will begin at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse and continue along the cart paths through all back nine holes, passing the world famous island green at 17.
Registration for this event also includes a Grounds Ticket to attend THE PLAYERS on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Anyone attending THE PLAYERS wearing the official 5K participant tee shirt will be admitted free to the "5K with Donna Sawgrass Suite" on the 16th tee to enjoy the company and camaraderie of fellow participants
