JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting while sitting on his porch this afternoon, police said.
He died from the gunshot wound.
The shooting happened at Peachtree and 27th streets around 1 p.m., when witnesses tell First Coast News a black car drove into the area and began shooting.
Police say a man in his early 60s was hit in the crossfire. He was taken to Shands where he was pronounced dead.
Friends of the victim say they are unsure if he was the target.
