
PUTNAM COUNTY, FL -- The parents of two young children have been arrested for a drug operation in their home.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, an investigation detectives to the house on Silver Lake Drive in Palatka Tuesday morning.
When deputies, backed by the SWAT team and the rifle security team, went into the home, the parents and the children were inside.
Detectives found 42 marijuana plants in a hidden room, plus marijuana clippings, powerful lights and ballasts and other paraphernalia.
Elmer Leon Norris, 38, and Deanna Marie Norris, 30, were both arrested and face charges of trafficking in cannabis and possession of narcotic equipment.
Their children were released to the custody of family members.
