JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A mother visits the bus stop where her son was found murdered seven months ago.

Pamela Stamper came back to the scene of the crime on Wednesday to reflect on just how special Bilaal Kwame Shaw really was.

"He was just an outgoing person, he was just a big kid, he loved playing video games, he loved taking care of his brothers and sisters and just being around his family," Stamper said.

Shaw was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and ADHD. At 19 years old, he was determined to graduate from high school. Stamper says he dreamed of being a boxer, but Shaw put his education first.

"He just loved going to school because he knew what I thought about being in school. No matter what age you were, you were finishing school in my household."

Shaw was at a bus stop near the East Gardens apartments at Franklin and 1st Streets on January 9.

The 10th grader from First Coast High School was waiting for a city bus to take him to school.

Police got the call around 5 a.m. They say Shaw had been shot; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police still do not have any leads.

"I just wish they would come forward and solve this case and just give information. I know somebody knows, I want the violence to stop and have this community come together as one."
