JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Two Krystal restaurants were hit by crime in a span of just four hours.
Around 2 a.m. Monday, Krystal worker Ishemone Drayton told a customer in the drive-through the restaurant was out of Diet Coke. This happened at the Krystal on Lem Turner Road.
According to a police report, the woman then got mad and starting throwing French fries at the worker.
The suspect then pulled out pepper spray and sprayed the worker in the face.
"When I turn back around to tell her we're going to call the police, the mace comes up and it comes in the window," Drayton told First Coast News' Erich Spivey.
About four hours earlier, the San Juan Avenue Krystal was hit by an armed robber. Employees told police a man pointed a gun at them at the drive-through window and demanded money.
The suspects fled the area, but police caught up with them on Blanding Blvd. They captured the suspects, according to an incident report, but there was no arrest report available as of Monday afternoon.
There's no indication the two cases are related.
