Elections Supervisor Honors Duval Schools

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland will present Freedom Awards to six area schools for the 2009 Countywide Student Voter Registration Drive.

The public schools to be honored are Sandalwood High, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Fletcher High School and Nathan B. Forrest High School.

Two private schools will be presented the Freedom Award, Foundation Academy and Providence School of Jacksonville.

38 schools in Duval County participated and a final number of 4,508 students registered to vote during this year's voter registration drive.
