JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spread a little holiday cheer Thursday afternoon.
Officers delivered about 1,000 gifts to people. The officers stopped first at the Cathedral Terrace as part of the 'Be a Santa to a Senior' program.
Sheriff John Rutherford said his officers wanted to give the gifts to the seniors because many are alone during the holidays.
