Two Jacksonville High Schools Make Top 100

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Two local high schools, Stanton College Preparatory and Paxon School for Advanced Studies, were ranked in the Top 100 of U.S. News and World Report's annual Best High Schools.

Stanton was ranked 43rd and Paxon 72nd.

The magazine looked at 21,000 public high schools in 48 states. The schools were ranked according to performance on Advanced Placement (AP) tests and International Baccalaureate (IB) tests.

The top high school in the country is a science and technology school in Alexandria, Virginia.
