JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Don Brewer Early Learning Center could stay open through a deal with FCCJ.
The City of Jacksonville announced Friday afternoon it had reached a tentative deal for the community college to take over the childhood learning center.
Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton said in April that the city could not afford to run the center and it was set to close August 29.
The deal still needs to be approved by the Jacksonville City Council and the FCCJ Board.
