JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A Jacksonville family has posted hundreds of flyers across the city in hopes of finding a missing man with Alzheimer's disease.

Alfred Feinglass is a 78-year-old retired oral surgeon, who recently relocated to Jacksonville from south Florida with his wife. The couple lives at the Carriage Club retirement community on Southside Boulevard.

Feinglass' wife, Harriet, is especially worried about her husband's disappearance, because the symptoms of his disease make him forgetful and prone to mood swings. Not only that -- the couple has only been in this area a few months, which would make it even easier for Feinglass to become disoriented.

Feinglass disappeared from the couple's home yesterday afternoon around 1 pm when he left to ride his mountain bike around the complex -- something he did regularly. His wife says he'd never left the complex before. Alfred, or "Al" as he's known, was wearing tan shorts, a purple shirt and a white windbreaker when he disappeared.

JSO officers combed the Carriage Club retirement community yesterday but found nothing. Feinglass' son Neil says the flyers have resulted in a couple of phoned-in tips of possible sightings.

Police continue to investigate. If you have any information please call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904)630-0500.
