The Michael Dunn Trial: Fatal Encounter

On the night of Nov. 23, 2012, Michael Dunn and his girlfriend stopped at a Gate gas station at the corner of Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road.

They had just come from the wedding of Dunn's son. Dunn's girlfriend went into the store while Dunn waited outside. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Jordan Davis and his friends pulled up to the station after doing some Black Friday shopping.

Police say Dunn and Davis got into an argument over loud music coming from the vehicle Davis was in. Dunn told police he felt threatened and ended up fatally shooting Davis.

On Feb. 3, 2014, Dunn will stand trial in the murder of Davis.
