READ: Dunn's letter on what happened Black Friday 2012

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- First Coast News has obtained the letter Michael Dunn wrote about Black Friday 2012, the night Jordan Davis was killed.

During Dunn's trial, jurors requested to see this letter. On Saturday, a mistrial was declared on the first-degree murder charge Dunn was facing while he was found guilty on three counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of shooting/throwing deadly missiles.

In the letter, Dunn describes fleeing the Gate gas station with his fiancee Rhonda after the shooting in fear of retaliation. He said they kept watch out the window of their hotel.

"We were both in shock and nearly panic stricken with fear of reprisals from these thugs. Somehow, Rhonda managed to fall asleep around midnight," he wrote. "I checked local news on my phone again at 1 a.m. and learned about the death. I ran to the bathroom and threw up."
