Man shot in chest, suspects at large

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man has life-threatening injuries after he was shot in the chest in a home in the 2100 block of W. 41st Street on Friday night.

Officers responded to the home around 8:25 p.m. and found the man wounded, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. J.C. Wilson.

The man was transported to UF Health at Jacksonville.

The suspects, in the shooting are at large and no suspect description information is available at this time, Wilson said.

Two other people were in the home at the time of the shooting. The Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating.
