Man killed inside local gentleman's club

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An identifiedman waskilled inside a Jacksonville gentleman's club early Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The fatal shooting took place around 4 a.m. at Mascara's Gentleman's Club located at Beach and Southside Blvd.

Police are unclear on what motivated the shooting, andno suspect has been arrested.

According to our news partner, The Florida Times-Union, a question was raised as to whythere were people still at the club that late.

"They're supposed to close up at 2 o'clock. There appears to be some activity going on past 2 a.m. We definitely will look at that as well," said Sgt. Dan Janson.

JSOarequestioningseveral witnesses that were at the club.
