Kids caught on camera vandalizing business

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Surveillance video captured by one local businessman shows teenagers breaking glass and throwing bricks on the Southside at the Sunbeam Tax Income business.

Senior Tax Specialist, Vlad Gusev, said when he saw the video, he was in complete disbelief.

In the video, you see the teenagers walking down the alley and smashing glass. However, they do not realize they are being captured by surveillance video until several minutes. When they see the camera mounted on the building, they throw a brick, which re-positions the camera.

Gusev said the damage is a few hundred dollars. However, he's not as worried about the damage, as he is about the teenagers seen in the video.

"My primary concern is for their safety [and for that one boy] jumping on that condenser unit." said Gusev. "It is very sharp because there is large blade inside and if that grill had broken because of his weight, he could have been cut very badly."

First Coast News called the Jacksonville Sheriff's office for an update on their investigation. Their press release states, "No canvass was conducted due to it being a vacant commercial building and it stands alone..."

Gusev says the tax documents in the Sunbeam officer are unharmed.
